Our team uses Telestroke technology to bring the expertise of our stroke centers directly to patients throughout our health system. Using secure, real-time video conferencing, our stroke specialists can rapidly evaluate patients and review neuroimaging conducted in other hospitals in order to provide the highest standard of stroke care at every facility in our system.
Fairview Ridges Hospital, a high-volume stroke hospital that helped pioneer the Telestroke service, offers 24-7 availability of fellowship-trained stroke and neurocritical care specialists through Telestroke. Telestroke is part of Fairview and the University of Minnesota Health's ongoing initiative to provide the best possible medical care within patients' local community hospital.
When you are ready to leave the hospital, we have rehabilitation and follow-up care services available. We’ll also provide you with education to help prevent future strokes.
In addition, we offer neurocritical care to our stroke patients who are also critically ill.
