Our cardiologists work in collaboration with cardiac surgeons who perform many heart-related surgeries such as heart valve repairs, cardiac transplantations, aortic surgery, coronary artery bypass and minimally invasive cardiac procedures.

High-end imaging capabilities such as nuclear imaging, stress echocardiography, EKG, cardiac MRI and CT angiography offer our patients the most advanced heart screenings available.

• Angioplasty and coronary stenting
Our coronary catheterization labs where angioplasty and stenting are performed, are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, enabling patients suffering from heart attacks treatment within 30 minutes or less of their arrival at our facilities.

• Electrophysiology (EP) cardiology
The science of diagnosing and treating the electrical activities of the heart, our trained electrophysiologists are skilled in ablation therapy and surgical device implantations such as pacemakers and cardioverter-defibrillators (AICD) in response to heart rhythm abnormalities.

Our extensive cardiac rehabilitation services offer cardiac rehabilitation services at all seven Fairview hospitals and at clinics throughout the 13-county metro area. Together, an experienced medical team including cardiologists, nurses, registered occupational and physical therapists, exercise physiologists and other health care professionals work to coordinated successful recoveries for patients with immediate and chronic heart conditions.
