Telephone visits

Woman on phoneA telephone visit is a scheduled telephone appointment between you and a health-care provider. Telephone visits can be done from the convenience of your home, work, school, or virtually anywhere you have telephone access.

If a prescription is necessary, we can send it directly to a Fairview Pharmacy or another pharmacy of your choice. If lab work or X-rays are needed, the physician will put a note in your file and you can make an appointment to have the testing done at your convenience.

How it works

  1.  Schedule a telephone visit by calling your clinic. The clinic will ask you for the telephone number at which you can be reached.
  2.  Before your telephone visit, a medical assistant or nurse will call you and obtain verbal consent. We’ll also make sure your medication list, allergy information and medical history are current.
  3.  On the scheduled date and time, answer the phone (a doctor or nurse will call you).
