During hands-on experience, attendees will have opportunities for making objective measurements of timing and displacement from dynamic fluoroscopic swallow studies. Materials will be provided at course for preliminary practice. Each participant will work at a a computer station preloaded with course material.
Completion of the course will allow participants to:
- Identify essential components of a standardized fluoroscopic exam and state specific benefits of this approach.
- Extract objective measures of timing and displacement from fluoroscopic swallow studies using easily implemented tools
- Apply objective measures' data to treatment planning for individual patients.
