Monthly drop-in support  groups

Twin Cities Metro Area


This support group meets the first  Wednesday of each month, 6–7:30 p.m., in the second-floor conference room at Fairview Oxboro Clinic, 98th Street and Lyndale Avenue South, Bloomington.  Registration is not required, and all are welcome.   For more information, call 952-885-6016. In case of inclement weather, call 612-728-2445 for cancellation information.

Princeton


The Northland Hospical grief support group meets the second Thursday of the month, noon to 1 p.m., at Fairview Northland Hospital. Come when you can; registration is not required.  For more information about this support group and other bereavement services offered by Fairview Hospice, call 763-389-6405.

Other events

Oct. 21-Nov. 18. Five-week grief support group, Wednesdays, 6-8 p.m., Fairview Oxboro Clinic, Suite 10, 600 W. 98th St., Bloomington. This support group is for adults grieving the loss of a loved one. The group format includes grief education and support. There is no charge, but registration is required. Call Chris Dooley-Harrington, Fairview Hospice grief counselor, 952-885-6197, to register or for more information.

Coping with the Holidays. Edina, Nov. 2, 7 p.m.; Princeton, Nov. 4, 3 p.m. For information and to register, call 952-885-6016.

Nov. 6-8  Families Growing Through Grief Retreat, Mount Olivet Retreat Center, Farmington.
This retreat is a Fairview Hospice co-sponsored event for families who have experienced the death of a parent at least three months ago but not more than 18 months ago. Families Growing Through Grief is an Award of Excellence Program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
