You helped Robyn defeat cancer
|"We caught my cancer early."|
— Robyn Scott, cancer-survivor, patient, volunteer
It’s every woman’s greatest fear.
Robyn Scott walked into her doctor’s office for a routine checkup and left with follow-up appointments that would lead to a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Just five days after that dreaded diagnosis, Robyn underwent surgery at the Breast Center at Fairview Ridges Hospital.
But, by that point, Robyn says, her fear of cancer was gone.
“I never doubted my decision,” she says. “My care team at Fairview really listened to me and respected my needs.”
Robyn is quick to stress that hers is no tragic story. "We caught my cancer early thanks to regular check-ups at Fairview Clinics. I had the right medical staff in the right position at the right hospital, choosing the right medical treatment."
Robyn's message to all of us is simple: "If you get regular check-ups, how can you go wrong?"
Today, Robyn is thriving. She volunteers regularly at Fairview Ridges Hospital as a way of showing her gratitude for the care she received. "Everyone treated me like a queen," she says.
