Fairview Foundation announces leadership transition
After 35 years of dedicated service, Fairview Foundation President Dick Howard is leaving Fairview. Dick’s last day will be July 20, 2014. Mia Hoagberg, vice president of donor development and operations, will serve as interim president for Fairview Foundation throughout the recruitment process for a permanent leader.

We did it! Youth Grief Services meets its challenge

Fairview Southdale Hospital breaks ground for Carl N. Platou Emergency Center 
Community leaders, donors, hospital employees and others celebrated the groundbreaking of a new emergency center at Fairview Southdale Hospital on Monday, September 16. The new, state-of-the-art emergency center is scheduled to open in 2015 to serve the community and honor a longtime Fairview leader, Carl N. Platou. The project quadruples the square footage of the emergency department.

Fairview Foundation awarded seal of approval
The Charities Review Council recently awarded Fairview Foundation its "meets standards" seal of approval, which is awarded to nonprofit organizations meeting stringent standards for accountability and ethical practices.

The council assessed Fairview Foundation on 27 standards in the areas of public disclosure, governance, financial activity and fundraising.

“We are committed to accountability and the highest ethical standards,” says Mia Broos Hoagberg, director of foundation operations and development. “The ‘meets standards’ seal tells our donors we are an organization deserving of their trust and support.”
