Each year, Fairview Foundation manages the annual Fairview Campaign.
This is a combined campaign to support Fairview and Ebenezer programs and services
and United Way-supported community services. Employees make pledges
to be deducted from their paychecks, donate cash, donate paid time off
hours or write checks.
In 2009, employees raised a combined campaign total of more than $787,000.
To build awareness and to have some fun, departments host special events including
activities such as tricycle races, car washes, bake sales, book swaps, and paper
airplane contests to help raise money. Employees also can purchase casual
dress stickers and candy-grams.
Money raised supports programs throughout the Fairview system that
help patients, their families and staff. Top designated funds include the
Greatest Need Fund, the Patient Assistance Fund that helps patients and their families
with costs for lodging, food and medical equipment, the Pharmacy Assistance Fund
that helps patients with their medication costs and the Employee Emergency
Fund that helps Fairview employees in times of family financial emergencies.
Money raised also helps local United Way agencies with support for their programs
and services. For more information, click here for the United Way Web Site.
