Fairview treats all patients with dignity and respect, regardless of their ability to pay. We have a number of programs to assist patients with payment. These programs support our mission to give quality medical care to everyone in our community.
Hospital Community Care
The Hospital Community Care program covers charges for most Fairview services. To qualify for the program, you must meet income restrictions.
Uninsured Hospital Patient Discount
Fairview provides an upfront discount to uninsured patients for hospital and hospital-based clinic services that are medically necessary.
Fairview Clinic Community Care Program
Clinic Community Care covers charges for most services given in Fairview’s free-standing clinics. In order to qualify for this program, you must meet income restrictions and have no access to health insurance.
Pharmacy Community Care
The Fairview Pharmacy Emergency Fund provides one-time prescription assistance to patients experiencing financial hardship. Eligible patients typically have no prescription drug benefits and/or have exhausted their coverage and are not eligible for or have access to alternative sources of coverage or funding (i.e. Medicaid, MN Care, Medicare, etc.)
Home Care and Hospice
Fairview’s Home Care and Hospice Community Care program covers most charges for our services. Income limits apply.
*If you received care at Fairview University Medical Center-Mesabi and Fairview Red Wing Medical Center, please call the billing office at that hospital to speak with someone.
