At 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, Nicholas Weiss, M.D., St. Croix Orthopaedics, P.A., will discuss knee arthritis, how it is diagnosed and both conservative and surgical treatment options. The free “Today’s Health Topics” program will take place in Conference Room B at Fairview Lakes Medical Center, 5200 Fairview Blvd, Wyoming.
A board-certified orthopedic physician, Dr. Weiss provides clinical and surgical treatment to patients with orthopedic conditions and injuries. He sees patient regularly in the St. Croix Orthopaedics Clinic at Fairview Lakes Medical Center.
Arthritis of the knee affects a growing number of people each year. By 2030, it is projected that nearly 35 million total knee replacements will be performed annually in the United States.
The one-hour program is part of the “Today’s Health Topics” series offered by Fairview Lakes Health Services in collaboration with the Chisago Lakes, North Branch and Forest Lake community education departments. The public is welcome. Preregistration is not necessary. Refreshments will be served.
