BURNSVILLE, Minn. (March 14, 2007) -- Beth Krehbiel has been named president of Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minn.
Krehbiel’s duties will also include oversight and leadership of Fairview’s clinics in the south metro area, including Fairview Eagan Clinic, Fairview Ridges Clinic, Fairview Lakeville Clinic, Fairview Cedar Ridge Clinic and Fairview Ridge Valley Clinic.
“Beth brings a deep understanding of and respect for trends and changes in health care delivery,” said Gary Strong, chief operating officer, Fairview Health Services. “An innovative thinker, she makes both strategic and visionary decisions on sound clinical and business principles. Her skills within the community will help to strengthen the ties with Burnsville and the surrounding communities.”
Krehbiel had been chief operating officer at Fairview Red Wing Health Services since June of 2001. Krehbiel has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Jamestown College in Jamestown, N.D.
Fairview Ridges Hospital is a 150-bed facility built in 1984 and offers the most advanced surgery, orthopedic and children’s care south of the Minnesota River. The facility is undergoing a $30 million expansion and has the metro’s second busiest non-trauma emergency department, with close to 48,000 visits in 2006.
Krehbiel replaces Sara Criger, who departed last month to be CEO of St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul.
