Fairview Health Services, University of Minnesota Physicians and University of Minnesota boards have all signed a Letter of Intent to explore combining Fairview and UMPhysicians into a fully integrated academic health system. This Letter of Intent signals a commitment of the organizations to work together to improve health, discover new treatments and cures and educate the health workforce, helping people lead longer, healthier lives.

(March 22, 2014)—About six weeks ago, Mary Kraft couldn’t walk without assistance. Today, she can “ride a bike” down miles of simulated highway. Kraft is the first patient at Fairview’s Acute Rehabilitation Center to use a new piece of equipment that stimulates muscles of stroke patients and those with spinal cord injuries.
